Heartbroken Over Manchester

I originally had a tag post planned for this Wednesday, but honestly guys, I find myself unable to even finish it after the horrific events that took place in Manchester, England on Monday night. I can never understand why these horrific occurrences have to keep happening, and why innocent civilians have to be the ones suffering because of them. My heart is breaking more and more with the news coverage, and I couldn't not mention it on my blog. My prayers are with everyone involved in this horrific tragedy, and I've decided to take today off from my usual blog posts as a vigil for all the amazing people who lost their lives so tragically on Monday night. All the victims and their families are in my thoughts and prayers, and I'll see you guys all back here on Friday for my regular posting schedule.

Book Review: Peculiar Treasures by Robin Jones Gunn

Happy Monday Guys :) It's been longer since my last post than I intended it to be, and for that I do apologize. Unfortunately, I've been taking some things more to heart than I should have, and as such, I haven't really felt like doing much of anything the last week. I mentioned in my last couple of posts that I was dealing with some drama in my personal life, and it just hasn't gotten any better. Without giving away too many of the details, as I'm not the type of person that likes gossiping and causing extra drama, I've basically been at the receiving end of negative treatment by people I've always been really close to. This has been going on for far too long, and I finally came to the conclusion this past week that if I constantly have to change who I am to please them, then maybe it's time to stop trying, and realize that if they're never going to like me for who I truly am, then there's nothing I can personally do to change that, and it

If You're A Fan Of Debbie Macomber's Cedar Cove Series, Give These Series A Try

Hey Guys :) I've always been a fan of blog posts where bloggers like to recommend books or series that are similar, in a if you like this read that type of fashion. I'd recently realized though that although I love reading them on other blogs, I've never actually done one myself, and so today I thought it was time to change that. As so many of you are probably aware with how often I talk about her, Debbie Macomber is my all time hands down favorite author, and my favorite series by her is The Cedar Cove series.  Since this is such a widely known, best selling series, I figured a lot of other people probably love it as well, and might be interested in my recommendations for a few series that really remind me of this one. I've discovered four series that  have many similarities with the Cedar Cove series, and I'm excited to get to share a little about each one of them with you guys. The Blossom Street s eries by Debbie Macomber: I definitely have

Iced Under by Barbara Ross Review

Happy Friday Guys! I hope you've all been having a great week so far, as mine sure hasn't been the best. I've unfortunately been pretty upset over some issues that have blown up in the past few days, and it's definitely been a struggle to get through my normal day to day routines. I was honestly really needing to read a book that would lift my spirits, and help me through this horrible week, and I'm so happy that I found one that fit the bill. I knew I had to share all about it with you guys today, and that's what I'm going to go ahead and do. Iced Under by Barbara Ross: Source: Library Publisher: Kensington Publishers Publication Date: December 27th, 2016 Synopsis: The snow is deep in Maine's Busman Harbor, and the mighty rivers are covered in ice. Snowden's Family Clambake company proprietor Julia Snowden and her mother Jacqueline, are hunkered down for the winter when a mysterious package arrives--heating up February with

Creatures Of The Night Book Tag :)

Hey Guys! I hope you're all having a great week, and getting lots of beautiful summery weather like we are in my hometown. Unfortunately for me I haven't had too much time to enjoy said beautiful weather as I've been coped up inside the last day and a half with sinus headaches and an ear infection. And of course, now that they're both slightly better, I'll be so far behind at work that I probably won't be seeing much of the sun for the next few days. Oh well, such is life sometimes I'm afraid. I'd noticed that I haven't done a book tag in what feels like forever, and you guys know that tags are some of my favorite posts to do. I was searching for some ones I haven't done before, and I stumbled upon The Creatures of the Night Tag which was started by Katytastic on Youtube, and you can find her original video here. Basically the tag asks that you name a book that features each of the creatures listed, and so let's go ahead and get star

Ranked and Reviewed: Sarah Dessen

Happy Monday To All My Fellow Readers :) I'm so excited to finally be able to share the post I've been working on for three and a half weeks. As I mentioned in a couple of other posts, I've been wanting to share this one with all you guys for quite some time, but the weather just wouldn't cooperate outside and so I had to keep postponing my photoshoot for it. I'm finally here today to share it with you all though, and I hope you all really enjoy it. I've been wanting to do a ranked and reviewed post for awhile, and thinking about some recent life tragedies that people around me have been facing,  had me thinking about Sarah Dessen's amazing books. Sarah Dessen is one of those authors who can write a heartbreaking, breathtakingly beautiful coming of age contemporary with family drama, teenage angst, tear jerker scenes, and swoon worthy romances. I've always loved how her novels aren't afraid to explore real issues, and she was definitely the auth

YA Releases of May 2017

Guys why does it always seem to happen that the most amazing books release while you're on a book buying ban? I've been on a book buying ban since Christmas and my birthday, as I received so many incredible sounding books for both that it seemed ridiculous to go by more for awhile. As well, my hubby and I are doing a "living below our means" challenge that we've been working on since Christmas, in order to pay down a bunch of our debt. While it's definitely been challenging, we've made so much progress and I can't wait to accomplish our goal in a couple of months, and be able to get back to buying books. And I can guarantee you that all the ones I'm going to mention today that are releasing this month will be the top ones on my list to pick up come that day! A Court of Wings and Ruin by Sarah J Maas: While I have yet to read A Court of Mist and Fury, I loved A Court of Thorns and Roses, and I can't wait to continue on wi
