Ibooks Books Haul

Hello Everyone! Thanks so much for joining me today on the Preppy Book Princess :) 2017 has been a year where I haven't truly shared too many book hauls on my blog, and that's honestly because I haven't bought that many books. In the last few days however, I finally used one of the Itunes gift cards I was given for Christmas, and I purchased some new ebooks that have been on my wishlist for quite some time. I've never done an ebook haul before, and so I'm excited to get to do one on my blog today. A Home For Christmas by Kimberly Rae Jordan: My first purchase was the seventh and final novel in Kimberly Rae Jordan's Home To Collingsworth series, and this one was actually the main reason I decided to buy books in the first place. I've loved all the other novels in this self published Inspirational fiction series, and this one wasn't available at my library, like the previous ones were. I can't wait to read Rose's story, as she

The Edge Of Falling by Rebecca Serle Review

Happy Wednesday Guys! I hope you're all having a great week so far, and I thank you once again for joining me today on the preppy book princess for another book review. It's actually been quite awhile since I last reviewed a YA book on my blog, which is a tad odd for me as it's one of my favorite genres, and I definitely decided today was the day to remedy that. I know a lot of people are familiar with Rebecca Serle's novel, Famous In Love, as not only was it a widely popular publication, it was also recently adapted into a TV show by ABC Spark. However, her earlier books don't seem to have quite the same buzz about them, and I personally preferred the one I'm reviewing today, The Edge Of Falling, to Famous In Love, although I didn't personally love love either of them. That being said, let's jump right into what I thought about this book! The Edge of Falling by Rebecca Serle: Source: Purchased For Myself Publisher: Simon Pulse P

Review: His Eyes

His Eyes by Renee Carter My rating: 3 of 5 stars I was honestly highly anticipating this adorable sounding contemporary by Renee Carter. A YA novel with a blind male protagonist is not something I'd personally read before, and as such, this book intrigued me, and had been on my TBR list for quite some time. I definitely ended up enjoying it overall, as I found myself liking both main characters, and their quirky personalities. In particular, I love how Amy is able to see past Tristan's disability right from the start, and is truly the first person to encourage him back on the path to living his life. However, I felt it was a tad too short, and I was disappointed that the reader doesn't truly get much of a feel for the relationship developing between Amy and Tristan. As well, I felt the character of Lexus was massively overdone, and didn't really seem believable. It was overall definitely still an enjoyable, quick, read, and I adored the ending. I only

The First Two Hallmark Christmas Movies of 2017!

Hey Guys! Thanks So Much For Joining Me Today On The Preppy Book Princess :) How's everyone's week been so far? I hope you're all taking time to enjoy the last few days of summer, and looking forward to fall as much as I am. Honest to goodness my favorite time period of the year is September through December. I love fall, and everything that comes along with it, and Christmas,  is of course my favorite favorite time of the year. I saw a few days ago on Instagram that Hallmark Channel's Countdown to Christmas is less than six weeks away, and I couldn't be more excited as I'm Hallmark movie obsessed, especially when it comes to their Christmas movies. I really admire and value the fact that Hallmark continues to produce content that's suitable for the entire family, and as such, they've become my absolute favorite channel to watch.  Of course, since here in Canada we don't get the Hallmark channel, I have to watch them when they air on ot

Once Upon A Prince By Rachel Hauck Review

Hello Everyone! Welcome Back To The Preppy Book Princess. I can't believe it's already almost the end of August, and that soon my most favorite season of all will be upon us. There's so many fall themed books I can't wait to dive into, and then of course, I can't wait to read the amazing sounding Christmas books releasing later this year. I've been blessed this month with loving most of the books I've picked up, with the occasional exception of course, and today I'd like to share a new review of a book I recently finished and highly enjoyed. I'd mentioned a few posts ago, which you can find here,  that my friend and I had chosen Rachel Hauck's Once Upon A Prince as the first book for our book club. I finished it a few days ago, and I honestly can't wait for our next meeting to finish discussing it, as we're planning on going over the discussion guide included in the book itself. This book was exactly what I needed to re

Five Inspirational Reads I Just Added To My TBR

Happy Friday Guys :) I'm so excited you're all joining me today on The Preppy Book Princess, and as always, I can't wait to talk books with you all. :) I had mentioned in a previous blog post just how badly I had wanted to attend The Christian Fiction Reader's Retreat in Ohio this year, but sadly the dates just didn't work for me to go. As it was last Saturday, August 12th, I pretty much spent that whole day after work following the hashtag on Instagram and Twitter to see the amazing time that all the attendees were having. If you're unfamiliar with this particular retreat, you can find out more about it here.  From following the hashtags however, I discovered so many amazing sounding books. Both from authors attending the convention, and from authors who showed up in my recommended feeds on both platforms from all my searching. I've literally added so many new inspirational books to my TBR list in the last couple of days, and I definitely wan

Hannah's List By Debbie Macomber Review

Happy Wednesday Everyone :) Thanks so much for joining me today on The Preppy Book Princess. Today I'm going to be sharing a review of a book from my all time favorite author, and that is of course, Hannah's List by Debbie Macomber. Hannah's List: Source: Bought For Myself Publisher: Mira Publication Date: April 27th, 2010 Synopsis: On the anniversary of his beloved wife's death, Dr. Michael Everett receives a letter Hannah had written him.  In it she reminds him of her love, and makes one final request. An impossible request- I want you to marry again. She tells him he shouldn't spend the years he has left grieving her. And to that end she's chosen three women she asks him to consider. First on Hannah's list is her cousin Winter Adams, a trained chef who owns a cafe on Seattle's Blossom Street. The second is Leanne Lancaster, Hannah's oncology nurse. Michael knows them both. But the third name is one he's not famil

Upcoming and Current Releases I'm Most Excited About

Hello Everyone! I hope your week is off to a great start :) It's been awhile since I've posted an upcoming book releases post, and that's what I felt like sharing with you all today. Honestly, in the last few months there hasn't been too too many books releasing that I've been really excited about, but that has definitely changed recently. There's so many amazing sounding titles releasing soon, or just released, and I'm going to share a few of the ones I'm most excited about with you all today. Any Dream Will Do by Debbie Macomber: I always anticipate Debbie's new releases, and this one is definitely no exception. Sometimes it's hard to keep up with reading all her new releases, as she always has a few a year, but I'm definitely dying to read this one about a woman who finds solace in a church and it's pastor, and then has everything threatened when her brother returns to town with a secret that threatens to unravel

Home Of Our Hearts By Robin Jones Gunn Review

Happy Friday Everyone! Thanks so much for joining me today on the Preppy Book Princess. Do any of you guys have anything special planned this weekend? I wanted so badly to attend the Christian Fiction Reader's Retreat taking place in Ohio, but sadly the dates just didn't work out for me this year. However, my best friend and I are having our second book club meeting tomorrow, and I'm really looking forward to diving back into conversation about Once Upon A Prince by Rachel Hauck. Speaking of inspirational fiction, I'm excited today to be back with another book review for you all, and that is Home Of Our Hearts by Robin Jones Gunn. Home Of Our Hearts by Robin Jones Gunn: Publisher: Robin's Nest Productions Publication Date: November 25th, 2014 Source: Library Synopsis: Christy and Todd are looking forward to being part of two important weddings. Christy would never think of missing Katie's big day, even though she's gettin

Summer Days Book Tag

Happy Wednesday Everyone :) Can you believe it's already the second week of August? Like literally summer is so close to coming to an end, and while that partly makes me happy as fall is by far my favorite season, it also makes me somewhat sad. For the last few years I have to admit that summer and I have not been friends. Work's always crazy busy and thus it's hard to find time to do anything, we usually have our big fall Disney trip coming up so we're focused on saving money for that, and the weather is also not always cooperative. Growing up I was one of those kids that adored every single minute of summer, especially spending the days in our camper at the provincial park near our hometown. There was nothing I loved more than being on the lake in our family's boat, or splashing in the waves at the beach. However, ever since my dad sold our camper and our boat, it's almost like summer's failed to mean as much to me as it used to. This year for the
