Fruit of the Spirit Book Tag

Happy Wednesday Guys :) I'm so excited about today's post, as I discovered another Christian themed book tag on Youtube last week, and I couldn't wait to take part in it. This is a relatively new tag, and it was created by Jessi Dawn on Youtube. It's also a really recent tag,  created within the last two weeks or so, and I can't wait to go ahead and get started. The tag consists of naming the fruit of the spirit, and matching the questions she's listed for each fruit. Love: Name your top three favorite book couples: This one was really hard to narrow down to three, as I have a ridiculous amount of favorite book couples, but these are the three I've decided to go with. Etienne and Anna from Anna and the French Kiss, Caymen and Xander from The Distance Between Us, and Meg and Bo from Undeniably Yours.  Joy: Name a character who went through horrible trials. Were they joyful? Would you have been if you went through the same? For t

March TBR List

Hey Guys :) Since it's almost the end of February, I thought today would be a good day to share with you all my March 2018 TBR List. February has been a month where I haven't read too many inspirational fiction novels, so that's definitely going to be my main focus for March. Here's the books I'm hoping to get to: Waterfall by Lisa T Bergen: I know this one is a ya, time travel novel that takes place in Europe, and it's also supposed to have a really good romance. This was one of the books I most wanted for Christmas, and I've decided March is definitely the month to get to reading it. The Healer's Apprentice by Melanie Dickerson: I've been wanting to read Melanie's Hagenheim series forever, as I love the idea of an inspirational, young adult, fairy tale retelling series, and March is the month I plan on finally starting with the first book. Live Original or Live Fearless by Sadie Robertson: I've been in a l

Geekerella by Ashley Poston Review

Happy Friday Guys :) How do you all feel about fairy tale retellings? For me personally, I usually enjoy them as long as they're written well, although there's definitely been a few I haven't been a fan of. However, last week I ended up reading a fairy tale retelling that I actually didn't know was a fairy tale retelling, and I really found myself enjoying it. Geekerela by Ashley Poston: Source: Library Publisher: Intrinseca Publication Date: April 4th, 2017 Genre: Young Adult Contemporary Synopsis: Geek girl Elle Wittimer lives and breathes Starfield, the classic science-fiction series she grew up watching with her late father. So when she sees a cosplay contest for a new Starfield movie, she has to enter. The prize? An invitation to the ExcelsiCon Cosplay Ball and a meet-and-greet with the actor slated to play Federation Prince Carmindor in the reboot. With savings from her gig at the Magic Pumpkin food truck and her dad's old costume,

Midnight Sun by Trish Cook Review

Happy Wednesday Everyone! I hope you're all having a great week, and I thank you for joining me today on The Preppy Book Princess 👸 A few weeks ago I saw the trailer for the upcoming movie, Midnight Sun, and I was really intrigued by it. Since it releases next month, and I definitely wanted to read the book before I saw the movie, I took some time this last weekend to read this relatively quick read. And today I'd like to share with you all what my thoughts were on it. Midnight Sun by Trish Cook: Source: Library Publisher: Poppy Publication Date: February 6th, 2018 Genre: Young Adult/Contemporary  Synopsis: A heartbreaking tale of love, loss and one nearly perfect summer - perfect for fans of  The Fault In Our Stars  and  Everything, Everything . Seventeen-year-old Katie Price has a rare disease that makes exposure to even the smallest amount of sunlight deadly. Confined to her house during the day, her company is limited to her widowed father and h

Extraordinary Means Book Tag

Hey Guys :) Thanks so much for joining me today on The Preppy Book Princess. I recently read Extraordinary Means by Robyn Schneider, and I thought it was a pretty good book. And I happened to discover that Robyn herself created a book tag to coincide with her book about the extraordinary means we'd go to for our favorite books and authors, and I just knew I wanted to participate in it. If you'd like to see Robyn's original video, you can do so here. 1) I would give up the internet for a month for a signed first edition of this book? Little Women by Louisa May Alcott. It's my all time favorite classic, and having a signed first edition would pretty much be the most exciting thing to ever happen to my life. 2) I would give up pizza for a year if it meant I could sit next to this author on a long plane ride: Debbie Macomber! I can't even express how much I admire her, and I'd love the chance to get to have a loong visit with her. 3) I wou

Netflix Book Tag

Hey Guys :) I don't know about the rest of you, but I might have a slight Netflix obsession. My hubby and I don't actually have cable, as neither of us really used it when we did, and so all of the TV we watch is generally through Netflix. While I may not be a binge watcher like a lot of my friends are, I do still watch quite a bit of Netflix, and so when I heard about the Netflix book tag, I just knew I needed to take part in it. This tag was created by A Darker Shade of Whitney on YouTube, and you can see her original video here. Recently Watched: The Last Book You Finished Reading: The Death Cure by James Dashner. I thought it was okay, but I have a feeling it may be a rare example of a time I actually end up enjoying the movie more than the book.  Top Picks: A Book/Books That Have Been Recommended To You Based On Books You Have Previously Read: Honestly there's been so many it's hard to even list them all but some of the ones that stand out wou

Extraordinary Means by Robyn Schneider Review

Hey Guys, I hope you're all doing well, and I want to thank you for joining me today on The Preppy Book Princess :) Today is of course Valentine's Day, so I definitely want to say Happy Valentine's Day everyone 💓💓💓💜💜💜💙💙💙💚💚💚💚 Do any of you guys have exciting plans for tonight? Typically my hubby and I never do anything too major for it, but over the weekend we went on a little road trip to our favorite small town theater to see Forever My Girl. I ended up really enjoying it, and I'm now even more looking forward to reading the book it's based on by Heidi McLaughlin. It was a nice low key Valentine's Day celebration which was exactly what we were both wanting, especially since we both have to work longer shifts today on the actual day. But speaking of Valentine's Day, I thought today would be the perfect day to share my review of a recent YA contemporaryish romance book I read a few days ago, and I'm excited to share my thoughts wi

Love Locks by Cory Martin Review

Hey Everyone :) As many of you who have read my blog previously probably know, I'm a huge Hallmark film junkie. I literally would choose a Hallmark movie over most blockbuster films, and I've made it a mission to try and see as many of them as I possibly can. And I'm sure everyone also obviously knows that I'm obsessed with books. And yet, guys I literally had no clue that Hallmark has a publishing firm that publishes books based off their original screenplays. I have no idea how this has escaped my notice until now, but when I saw Love Locks on NetGalley, I knew I definitely needed to read it even though I haven't seen the movie. Since Valentine's Day is only a couple of days away, I thought today would be the perfect day to post my review of this romance read in celebration of it.  Love Locks by Cory Martin: Source: Publisher Via NetGalley Publisher: Hallmark Publishing Publication Date; February 20th, 2018 Genre: Contemporary Romance Syn

Life In The No Dating Zone by Patricia B Tighe Review

Happy Friday Everyone :) Thanks so much for joining me today on The Preppy Book Princess. I'm excited it's finally once again the weekend. Last weekend, and this week were both crazy busy, and so I didn't truly have a lot of time to get caught up on my never ending to do lists. As well, I didn't honestly have that much reading time. However, this weekend looks to be much more mellow, and that's definitely something I'm needing right now. But before this weekend kicks off, I'd like to share a book review with you guys that I'd been meaning to post a couple of weeks ago right after I finished the book, but unfortunately that didn't happen. Life In The No Dating Zone by Patricia B Tighe: Source: Birthday Gift From My Hubby Publisher: Swoon Romance Publication Date: December 2nd, 2014 Genre: Young Adult/Contemporary Romance Synopsis: After surviving her parents' relationship drama when her older sister elopes, Claire Gardn
