This month I've been working my way through Lisa T Bergen's River of Time series, and I'm falling in love with each and every book. I recently finished the third book in the series, and I couldn't wait to hurry up and share my review of it with you all.

My Review:
One of my favorite things about reading The River of Time series is the way the author blends the story so well between each book. Once again, Torrent picks up right where the last book left off, as the three brave she-wolves embark on a new adventure that just might be their most dangerous yet. After finally starting to get a handle on this whole time travel thing, Gabi, Lia and their mother decide to take a different jaunt back in time to change a pretty big piece of their history, before heading back to Medieval Italy.
Soon enough, they're back in Medieval Italy, and although it's only been a day in their time, over a year has passed since they left Marcello and his kingdom. Things have changed, perhaps too much for Gabi's liking, and they're only going to get stranger and more intense from here. When a rescue mission ends badly, Gabi finds herself at the mercy of Marcello's greatest enemies, and soon finds out her hand has been promised in marriage to none other than Lord Greco himself. The approaching nuptials send Gabi spiraling, as she questions what is really going too far to save your life and the lives of the ones you love?
Once again, Lisa T Bergen has spun a thrilling, hard-to-put-down-the-book tale that's ridden with action, romance, self-sacrifice, and many heart wrenching moments. Gabi continues to be a character I really admire, and I adored how she strives to be selfless and courageous despite the horrific situations she continues to find herself in.In this particular novel, Gabi battles with the age old question "can you really have the best of both worlds" as she strives to discover for herself, and to convince her family whether or not Medieval Italy is where they belong. As well, I enjoyed the way the author depicted her journey towards discovering that one must always follow their heart, even when the outcome might be a much more troublesome path to follow.
Lisa T Bergen writes her characters in a way that makes them feel like old friends, and as always, I loved getting to spend time with Marcello, Gabi, Lia and Luca. Marcello and Gabi's relationship was swoon worthy, and as intense as ever, and the ending of this book definitely left my heart happy with the direction their relationship takes. Likewise, I've really loving the adorable, developing feelings between Lia and Luca, and I'm very much looking forward to reading more of their story. Even though I love Marcello, and definitely consider him and Gabi an OTP, I still continued to enjoy the development of Lord Greco's character throughout this story, and the extenuating circumstances he continues to try and find his way out of. However, one of my favorite aspects of this novel was definitely the addition of Father Tomas. His character brings such a light to the story, and his faith is beautiful, authentic and heart wrenching.
All in all, I can't say enough things about yet another amazing novel in The River of Time series, and I'm so happy that Lisa T Bergen decided to continue on with this series, as I'm very much looking forward to reading the novellas, and the fourth and final book. I can't recommend this series enough, especially if you're a fan of time travel, Medieval Italy, or swoon worthy romances.
