Review Policy

******** Due to medical reasons, The Preppy Book Princess will be on hiatus from the 13th of April, 2024 until the 13th of May, 2024. As such, I will not be capable of reading any review titles during this time period. If you're still interested in having me review your title, we can definitely discuss it for after I return.

If you're a publisher or author who is interested in sending me a book to review, please note my review policy below.

I'm always interested in the prospect of reviewing new books, but there are certain genres I don't currently read, and so will not be accepting any books included in the following:

Erotica
Explicit Romance Books
Biographies/Memoirs (except those included in a Christian living or Christian non fiction heading)
Poetry
Horror
Anything that blasphemies my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ or any component of the Christian faith.

I am currently accepting books from the following genres:

Young Adult (all genres, except what's mentioned above. All novels must be clean)
Adult Fiction (Chick Lit, Contemporary, Sweet Romances, Cozy Mysteries, Historical Fiction. All novels must be clean)
Inspirational Fiction
Middle Grade (All novels must be clean)
Inspirational Non-Fiction
Children's Books
Christmas Reads

I promise to give your book a one hundred percent honest review. I can't promise that I'll love your book, but I do promise a well thought out review that will highlight all the reasons that I did or did not like the book, and my general thoughts on the characters, setting, writing style, and plot development.

I will always state in my reviews where I received the book from, and all reviews will be posted on my blog unless otherwise requested.

I'm generally a very fast reader, and I can usually stick to a timeline that works for you. I simply ask that you inform me of this before you send the book so there's no miscommunication.

I'm currently accepting physical books, ebooks, and audiobooks.

I reserve the right to decline book requests that I feel don't fit under the categories I've listed.

If you're interested in sending me a book to review, please contact me at thepreppybookprincess@gmail.com and I will get back to you as soon as possible.

First Line Friday: Carolina Breeze

Happy Friday Everyone :) I hope you're all having a great week! Mine has actually been pretty good. We've had some really nice days, and my husband and I were finally able to put our garden in, and various flowers and the like. We've also had a couple of lovely, rainy days as well, and I love how green everything is looking in our yard right now. For today's post, I'm excited to once again be linking up with the lovely Hoarding Books  for another edition of First Line Friday. This fun weekly meme simply consists of sharing the first line of the book you're currently reading. For this week's first line, I'm going to be sharing from Denise Hunter's recently released title that I ended up absolutely loving. Carolina Breeze by Denise Hunter: About The Book: A jilted bride. A struggling innkeeper. And a romantic mountain getaway that changes everything. Rising Hollywood star Mia Emerson is looking for a safe place to land in the wake of a public breakup a

First Line Friday: Courting Mr. Emerson

Happy Friday Everyone :) Since it is Friday, I'll once again be participating in First Line Friday which is hosted by Hoarding Books .  For this week, I'm going to be sharing the first line from Melody Carlson's newest book, Courting Mr. Emerson. About The Book: When the fun-loving and spontaneous artist Willow West meets buttoned-up, retired English teacher George Emerson, it's not exactly love at first sight. Though she does find the obsessive-compulsive man intriguing. Making it her mission to get him to loosen up and embrace life, she embarks on what seems like a lost cause--and finds herself falling for him in the process. A confirmed bachelor, George vacillates between irritation and attraction whenever Willow is around--which to him seems like all too often. He's not interested in expanding his horizons or making new friends; it just hurts too much when you lose them. But as the summer progresses, George feels his defenses crumbling. The quest
